Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming

At shuvowin, responsible gaming is not a legal checkbox — it is a core part of how we operate. We genuinely believe that a well-regulated, player-protective environment is what sets a trustwor thy platform apart. Our mission is to provide Bangladeshi players with an entertaining, secure, and fair gaming experience — and that mission cannot be fulfilled without a robust responsible gaming framework.

We understand that for the vast majority of our players, gambling is a recreational activity enjoyed alongside cricket matches, weekend downtime, or festive occasions like Eid and Pohela Boishakh. It is a form of entertainment, and we want it to stay that way. However, we also recognise that for a small number of individuals, gambling can become problematic — and shuvowin is committed to providing every resource necessary to prevent, identify, and address that risk.

Our responsible gaming programme covers four key areas: prevention (age verification, spending controls, session limits), awareness (warning signs, self-assessment tools, transparent communications), intervention (self-exclusion, account restrictions, support referrals), and recovery (permanent account closure, access to professional counselling resources). Each of these pillars is described in detail throughout this page.

Every member of the shuvowin team — from platform engineers to customer support agents — is trained to recognise the signs of problem gambling and to respond with empathy and speed. If you ever feel that your gambling is no longer within your control, our support team is available around the clock at support@shuvowin or via live chat inside your account dashboard.

Player-First Policy

Every responsible gaming tool on shuvowin is designed to put the player's long-term wellbeing ahead of short-term platform revenue.

Proactive Monitoring

Our systems monitor unusual patterns in betting frequency, deposit escalation, and session duration to flag accounts that may need a wellbeing check.

Trained Support Staff

All shuvowin support agents receive responsible gaming training and are equipped to assist players sensitively and without judgement.

Age Restriction and Verification

shuvowin is strictly an 18+ platform. No individual under the age of 18 is permitted to register an account, make a deposit, place a wager, or access any real-money gaming content on shuvowin. This is a non-negotiable rule enforced at every stage of the account lifecycle.

During registration, all players are required to confirm that they are aged 18 or above. This declaration is legally binding under the Terms & Conditions of shuvowin. Any player found to have provided false age information will have their account permanently closed and any winnings forfeited, regardless of how much time has passed since registration.

As part of our Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process, shuvowin collects and validates government-issued identity documents — such as the Bangladesh National Identity Card (NID) — to confirm the age and identity of every account holder before withdrawal privileges are activated. Where KYC documents cannot be verified, account activity will be restricted until satisfactory documentation is provided.

We also strongly encourage parents and guardians to make use of parental control software if they share devices with children. shuvowin cannot be held responsible for underage access that occurs as a result of an adult sharing their login credentials with a minor. If you suspect that a minor has accessed your account, contact our support team immediately so that the account can be secured and investigated.

Strict Age Enforcement: shuvowin applies age verification checks at both registration and at the point of first withdrawal. Accounts where age cannot be confirmed will have withdrawals suspended until documentation is provided and approved.

18+ This platform is for adults aged 18 and above only. Gambling is not appropriate for minors.

Parental Controls: If you share a device with children, consider using parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio, or your device's built-in screen time management features to restrict access to gambling websites.

Deposit Limits and Spend Controls

One of the most effective tools for maintaining healthy gambling habits is setting a personal deposit limit. shuvowin allows every player to configure daily, weekly, and monthly deposit ceilings directly through their account settings. Once a limit is set, the platform will automatically decline any deposit attempt that would cause the total for that period to exceed the configured ceiling.

Reducing a deposit limit takes effect immediately. If you reduce your daily limit from ৳5,000 to ৳2,000, that lower limit applies to your account from the moment you save the change — no waiting period, no grace period. This is by design: when a player chooses to reduce their spending, shuvowin honours that decision instantly.

Increasing a deposit limit is subject to a mandatory 7-day cooling-off period. This deliberate friction prevents impulsive decisions made during a losing session from having immediate financial consequences. After requesting an increase, you will need to confirm the request again after 7 days before it takes effect. If you change your mind during that period, you can cancel the increase request at any time.

In addition to deposit limits, shuvowin provides a loss limit feature that caps the total amount a player can lose within a given period. This is especially useful for players who fund their accounts in advance and want to ensure that a run of bad luck cannot erode an amount beyond what they are comfortable losing.

Players who have not set formal limits are encouraged to use the budget-tracking view in their account dashboard, which provides a clear summary of total deposits, total withdrawals, and net gaming position for the current calendar month.

Daily Limit

Daily Deposit Cap

Set a maximum amount you can deposit in a single calendar day. Resets at midnight Bangladesh Standard Time. Reductions take effect immediately.

Weekly Limit

Weekly Deposit Cap

Control your spending across a rolling 7-day window. Ideal for players who prefer to think about their gaming budget on a weekly basis.

Monthly Limit

Monthly Deposit Cap

Set a monthly ceiling aligned to your salary cycle or household budget. Increases require a 7-day review period before activation.

Loss Limit

Loss Limit Control

Define the maximum net loss you are comfortable with in a given period. Once reached, further wagers are paused until the period resets.

Time-Out and Session Controls

Sometimes the most responsible thing a player can do is simply step away for a while. shuvowin provides a flexible time-out system that allows you to suspend your account for a defined short-term period without permanently closing it. Time-out options are available in the following durations: 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days.

During a time-out period, your account will be locked from all deposit, wagering, and live-game activity. You will still be able to log in to view your transaction history and submit a withdrawal of any remaining balance, but you cannot place new bets or make new deposits until the time-out period has expired.

Time-outs cannot be cancelled early once activated. This is an intentional design choice — if you activate a 7-day time-out, that full period will run before your account resumes normal activity, regardless of requests to lift it sooner. shuvowin believes that a time-out is only effective if it cannot be reversed impulsively.

Beyond discrete time-out periods, shuvowin also provides session duration reminders. You can configure an in-session alert that notifies you when a single gaming session has exceeded a duration you specify — for example, 60 minutes or 90 minutes. This gentle nudge is designed to break the flow of extended sessions and encourage a conscious decision about whether to continue.

Reality check notifications are another available feature: periodic pop-up messages during active gaming sessions that show you your net win/loss position for the current session, the total time you have been playing, and a reminder of your current deposit limit settings. These prompts encourage mindful play rather than passive extended sessions.

24 Hours

Quick cool-down break for a single day.

7 Days

A full week away from the platform.

14 Days

A fortnight's break to reset and reflect.

30 Days

A full calendar month away from gaming.

Time-outs are irreversible once set. Once you activate a time-out, it will run for its full duration. This protects you from impulsive decisions to return before you are genuinely ready. Plan your time-out carefully before activating it.

Self-Exclusion Programme

Self-exclusion is the strongest protective tool available on shuvowin. It is intended for players who have concluded that they need a significant, extended break from gambling — whether voluntarily or following a conversation with our support team or a professional counsellor.

Self-exclusion options on shuvowin are available in the following periods: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanent (indefinite). Once self-exclusion is activated, your account will be immediately locked from all gambling activity, all marketing communications will be suppressed, and any outstanding bonuses or promotional credits will be voided.

Self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the chosen period. Unlike a time-out — which expires automatically — self-exclusion requires a deliberate re-application process after the exclusion period ends. For periods of 6 months or 1 year, you may request reinstatement after the period has fully elapsed, but this request is subject to a mandatory 7-day review and a welfare check by our team before reinstatement is approved. Permanent exclusions are irreversible.

To activate self-exclusion, you can either use the self-exclusion tool in your account settings or contact our support team directly at support@shuvowin. Support-initiated self-exclusions take effect within one hour of your request being received, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

shuvowin will retain your self-exclusion record for a minimum of seven years following the exclusion period. This ensures that, even if you attempt to register a new account in the future, our systems can cross-reference your details and prevent access during any active exclusion period.

We also strongly encourage players who choose self-exclusion to consider reaching out to professional gambling support organisations. Taking the step to self-exclude is a positive and courageous decision — our team will always support you through that process with respect and without judgement.

6 Months

Short-Term Exclusion

A structured 6-month break. Suitable for players who need meaningful time away but intend to return to recreational play in the future.

1–3 Years

Medium-Term Exclusion

For players who need an extended period of at least one or three years to address gambling-related concerns fully before reconsidering their options.

Permanent

Permanent Exclusion

An irreversible, indefinite account closure. The right choice for players who have decided that online gambling is not compatible with their long-term wellbeing. Cannot be reversed under any circumstances.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling rarely announces itself clearly. It typically develops gradually — what begins as entertaining recreation can, for some individuals, shift into compulsive behaviour that creates financial, emotional, and social harm. Recognising the warning signs early is the single most important step towards getting help before problems escalate.

The following behaviours are commonly associated with problem gambling. If you identify with one or more of these patterns, we strongly encourage you to use shuvowin's responsible gaming tools or to reach out to a professional support service.

  • Gambling with money that was budgeted for essential expenses such as rent, food, utilities, or education fees.
  • Feeling unable to stop gambling once you have started, even when you had intended to play for a limited time.
  • Chasing losses — continuing to deposit and bet in an attempt to win back money that has already been lost.
  • Concealing gambling activity from family members, friends, or colleagues out of embarrassment or fear of judgement.
  • Feeling irritable, anxious, or restless when unable to gamble or when attempting to cut back on gambling activity.
  • Neglecting work, family, social, or other personal responsibilities in favour of gambling sessions.
  • Borrowing money, taking loans, or selling personal possessions to fund gambling activity.
  • Experiencing persistent thoughts about gambling — reliving past wins, planning future bets — that interfere with daily life.
  • Using gambling as a way to escape from stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or other emotional difficulties.

Self-Assessment Checklist

The following questions are designed to help you reflect honestly on your relationship with gambling. There are no right or wrong answers — this is a private exercise for your own benefit. If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly recommend using shuvowin's self-exclusion or time-out tools and considering a conversation with a professional support service.

This checklist is based on widely used responsible gambling assessment frameworks. It is not a clinical diagnostic tool, but it can serve as a useful starting point for self-reflection.

Honest self-assessment matters. If you answer these questions truthfully and find that three or more apply to you, please do not ignore that result. Reach out to our support team — we are here to help, not to judge.

Answer Honestly — Do Any of These Apply to You?

Reflect on the past 12 months of your gambling activity.

1Have you ever spent more money on gambling than you originally planned to in a single session?
2Have you ever gambled with money that was set aside for bills, groceries, or other essential expenses?
3Have you tried to cut back on gambling but found it difficult or impossible to do so?
4Have you ever lied to someone close to you about how much time or money you have spent on gambling?
5Have you felt restless, irritable, or anxious when you have been unable to gamble?
6Have you returned to gambling after a loss specifically to try to win that money back?
7Have you ever borrowed money or sold items to fund gambling?
8Has gambling caused you to miss work, studies, family events, or other important commitments?

Getting Help and Support

Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you feel that gambling has become a problem — whether for you personally or for someone you care about — there are steps you can take right now. shuvowin's support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can activate protective measures on your account immediately.

What to do right now if you are concerned:

  • Log in to your shuvowin account and navigate to the Responsible Gaming section of your account settings.
  • Activate a time-out or self-exclusion period to create immediate distance from gambling activity.
  • Contact our support team via live chat or email so that we can apply additional account protections and refer you to appropriate resources.
  • Speak openly with a trusted family member or friend about what you are experiencing — social support is one of the most effective components of recovery.
  • Consider reaching out to a mental health professional or counsellor who specialises in addictive behaviours.

shuvowin does not profit from problem gambling — a player in crisis is not a valuable customer to us. We would far rather help you step back from the platform, recover your financial and emotional stability, and return to gaming only if and when it is genuinely healthy and recreational for you to do so.

If gambling has created financial hardship, many Bangladeshi banks — including BRAC Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, and Islami Bank — offer financial counselling and budgeting advisory services. Your local community health centre may also be able to refer you to a professional counsellor with experience in behavioural addiction.

Talk to Someone You Trust

Opening up to a family member or close friend about gambling concerns is one of the most effective first steps. You do not have to face this alone — the people around you can provide practical and emotional support.

Professional Counselling

If gambling is affecting your mental health, a qualified counsellor or psychologist can provide structured support. Ask your doctor or local community health centre for a referral to a behavioural addiction specialist.
